Alice Waters Condon - affectionally referred to as Mom, Gram, or Gigi - will always be remembered for her lust for life, her perpetual smile and, simply, the happiness she carried in her soul and the happiness she engendered in others.

Born in 1927 in East Falls, PA, Alice lived a happy childhood.  In 1947, she married West Point cadet Charles Waters and together they raised six children in Coopertown, PA.

As her offspring entered adulthood, Alice relished Sunday dinners together.  Boisterous and lively, the meals were marked by laughter and camaraderie.  A highlight was Alice’s cooking, which she herself cheerfully referred to as, “Open, Heat, and Serve.”

As a testament to their commitment and love, Alice and Charlie were married for over 50 years.  After Charlie suffered a stroke and was confined to a wheelchair for a number of years before his death, Alice was his guardian angel and constant, caring nurse, never once uttering a word of complaint during this very difficult time.

In 1966, after raising her children, Alice began another journey and, pursuing her enduring passion for education, she became a beloved kindergarten teacher at Our Mother of Good Council in Bryn Mawr, PA.

Alice loved traveling and exploring new destinations.  Her goal was to visit each of the United States – a goal she proudly accomplished.

In her later years, after Charlie’s passing, Alice found love again in her marriage to Vern Condon.  They enjoyed a simple and wonderful life together in New Vernon, NJ, before moving to Jenner’s Pond Retirement Community in West Grove, PA.

Vern sadly passed away in 2017 but Alice was determined to keep living.  In her 90’s, she dared to zip-line and even gave pickleball a shot!

Easily making life-long friends, Alice and Charlie cherished getting together with the celebrated Bridge Club, a group of tightly knit companions who played, laughed, and often traveled together.  Even in her much later years, Alice continued to play bridge with her many friends at Jenner’s Pond.

Alice’s annual Labor Day parties were legendary.  Once you attended, you were forever a part of the family.

Alice is survived by her six children and their spouses: Bill (Peggy), Charlie (Donna), Russ (Barbara), Lyn (Alfie), Jim (Esther), and Alison (Steve) and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She will always be remembered not only for her warmth and undiminishing positive outlook on life but also for her boundless love for all.

On December 9, 2023, at 10:00 AM, a Mass will be held in Alice’s honor at Our Mother of Good Counsel in Bryn Mawr, PA, the very same parish where she taught so many years ago.  Following the service, a reception will be held where friends and family can gather to celebrate a truly extraordinary person.  In honor of Alice's love for education, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kemmerer Library (https://hardinglibrary.org).

As Alice Waters Condon rests in peace, she will live on eternally, forever smiling in all of our hearts.
