Bruce Briley

Bruce John Briley, age 66, of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 26, 2023 at his home in Kennett Square, PA.  He was the son of the late, Franklin Briley, Sr. and Patricia (Lafferty) Briley.

Bruce was a lifelong resident of Kennett Square, PA and graduated from Kennett High School in 1974.  He was an employee at Big Lots in the New Garden Shopping Center, having started there when they opened 20 years ago.

Bruce enjoyed building things and doing handy-man and carpentry work.  He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and had a special relationship with his niece, Adrienne, who was his “sweetie” and the apple of his eye.

Bruce will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to his mother, Bruce is survived by his sister, Sharon Cosgrove (Pat) of Kennett Square, PA and his brother, Jeffrey Briley (Sherry) of West Grove, PA.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Stephen Briley Jr., Megan Rocha, Tina Hager, Christine Eisenhart, PJ Cosgrove, and Adrienne Hager.  In addition to his father, Bruce is predeceased by two brothers, Franklin Briley Jr. and Stephen Briley Sr.

Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, Union Hill Cemetery, 424 North Union Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
