Cornelius M. Williams

Cornelius M. Williams, age 69, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 25, 2024, at Pocopson Home in West Chester, PA. Born in West Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Cornelius Williams and the late Hannah Dorsey Williams.

During his life, Cornelius worked for many years at Leon Pizzini and Son, Inc. in Avondale, PA, where he performed various duties. In addition, he worked for many years at Avon as a security guard. He also served for a brief period of time in the U.S. Army and was awarded an honorable discharge.

In his life, Cornelius was known for his unselfish helping and kindness. He was known for his reserved demeanor which could be released by situational humor into a bellowing addictive laughter!!! Corn was the brother that was always there when all else failed. When he knew he could help in any way he let you know.  He always had a joke and a smile whenever we were around each other. He made many summers greater because of the fun we had on weekends, eating bushels of crabs he bought for everyone. He also enjoyed fishing and going to Cecil County Dragway and Delaware Park Race Track.

Cornelius is survived by his siblings, Johnita Dorsey Peterson; Ruth Ann Dorsey (Robert); Helen Dorsey; John Williams (Christine); Paul Williams; Robert Williams (Viola); Kevin Williams (Diana); and Angela Williams. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends . In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Margaret Talbot; his nephew, Cameron W. Williams; his brother-in-law, Willie Peterson; and sister-in-law, Connie Williams.
