Joseph Cicala

Joseph Paul Cicala, age 87, of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.  He was the husband of Beatrice Anderson Cicala, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.

Born in Norristown, PA he was a son of the late Paul Cicala and the late Jenny (DiMino) Cicala.

Joseph attended St. Patrick's High School and after serving our country in the Army during peacetime, he graduated from Villanova University with a degree in business.

He enjoyed woodworking and being outside. He spent many years restoring two old farmhouses and helping his daughters renovate theirs! He was happiest when enjoying time with family. Joseph owned and operated his own construction business, Valley Construction. In recent years he worked for Home Depot in Frazer, PA, in the sales division. He was a member of the Schwenksville Rotary and the Perkiomen Valley School Board, serving both as president during his membership. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Beatrice “Bea” Stankiewicz of Avondale, PA and Kathleen Gregory and her husband, Bryan of Spring City, PA: and five grandchildren, Hayden, Brody, and Logan Gregory, Ethan and Mae Stankiewicz. He was predeceased by three brothers, Michael, John, and Charles.

You are invited to visit with Joseph’s family and friends on Monday, December 19th, 2022, from 11:00AM ~ 12:00PM at Downingtown Country Club located at 93 Country Club Dr, Downingtown, PA 19335. Followed by Joseph's Life Celebration at 12:00PM with a reception afterwards. His family requests that you come dressed in your favorite colorful holiday outfit. Interment will be held privately.
