Robert Donald Sweet

Robert Donald Sweet, age 79, of West Grove, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 15, 2023, at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. He was the spouse of Carol Sweet, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of the late Chester Sweet and the late Edna (Lewert) Sweet.  

Bob served our country in the US Navy from 1963 – 1967 as Naval Intelligence Communications Technician. In his career, he worked as a police officer for the Haverford Township Police Department and as a Tribal Gaming Inspector for the Gila River Indian Community. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Robert Sweet Jr. (Lisa); his daughter, Sharon Sweet Williams; and one daughter-in-law, Wendy Sweet.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Haley Sweet, Kristen Sweet, Caitlyn Sweet, Gabriella Sweet Fitzcharles (Robbie), Zoe Sweet, Ashley Williams Ocker (Brandon), and John R. Williams.  In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his son, Thomas Sweet.
