Sandra Marie Hitchens

Sandra Marie Hitchens, age 70, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on October 29, 2024. She was the spouse of the late Howard Hitchens. Born in Dover, DE, she was the daughter of the late William Horn and the late Mary Drasch Horn. 

 In her life, Sandra was self-employed as an Architectural Historian and Interior Designer with Hitchens Associates. Prior to branching out on her own Sandra graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Art History and began her career working for several architecture firms in Wilmington and Philadelphia. 

 Sandra is survived by her siblings, Michael Horn (wife, Gloria Horn); J. Scott Horn (wife, Joann Horn); Christine Giacco (husband, Alex Giacco); Kathleen Spicer, and Jeffrey Horn. She was predeceased by her parents William and Mary Horn. 

 You are invited to visit with Sandra’s family and friends from 11-12Noon Tuesday December 3, 2024, at DuPont Country Club (Rockland Room) 1001 Rockland Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803. Her life Celebration Memorial service will follow at 12 noon. A reception will follow. 

 The family would like to thank Christiana Hospital and Accent Hospice for providing caring and compassionate care during her final days.
